Mountain top proposal in Boone, North Carolina
Liza and David had a session with me up at the top of a gorgeous hike located in Boone, North Carolina. After hiking up and beginning the photos I knew this was going to be a session I never wanted to forget!
All week the weather was not looking promising. With a 95% chance of rain and thunderstorms, we thought we were going to have to reschedule. We decided to hold out and embrace whatever weather was thrown our way. If you are from Boone, or have visited before, you should know that the weather is almost always changing… and sure enough the rain cleared! There were rain showers that morning, but the sky began to clear mid day and we were thrilled with the luck that we had!
As the photos started and the sun began to set, it was time to get Liza and David in the perfect spot for the proposal. David had reached out prior to the shoot and explained how he was going to propose to Liza. We worked up a plan for how it should happen and we made sure Liza had no idea. The photos turned out to be some of my all time favorites.
As soon as the proposal was finished, the weather took a turn for the worse. The wind picked up and the temperature dropped. That, on top of Liza being so in awe of what just happened, preparing for the next set of photos was difficult. We decided to set up an engagement session for another time once the newly engaged couple had some time to themselves and the weather warmed up a bit…. so stay tuned for that!
